I much prefer the television series to the films, but that is not to say the TV show was perfect. The greatest weakness of both the TV series and the DVD disks would be inconsistencies. While the show had many strengths, writing was often uneven and the “mythos” of the show was tweaked on more than one occasion to fit the needs of storyline. This is sometimes awkward to watch, given that the one rule of fantasy is to stick to the “givens” you provide as a writer. The DVDs are equally “off” a bit. Commentary for the first two seasons is a tad snarky, and in season one, it sometimes looks like they grabbed the commentators on the way home from the grocery store to make their comments. Later commentary feels somewhat like a bottle of wine (or two) was used to “warm up” the speakers. The video capture also isn’t great. Originally produced in the early 90s, this was one of the earliest series to be transferred to digital format. The kind of super-clean image and sound quality one becomes used to in modern DVDs are not present here, and my season one collection, bought many years ago, actually melted down. The sealant used on the inside rim of the DVDs leaked back into the disks and warped them, causing the need for me to re-buy the collection. I did, however, re-buy it, because for all of its flaws, there is something timeless about this show (excusing the obvious pun). The show excelled in casting, with Adrian Paul being the best immortal out there (apologies to Christopher Lambert). Mr. Paul not only had the exotic look appropriate to an immortal, but he clearly invested himself in the role in terms of physicality and dedication. The fights and swordplay are still some of the best I’ve seen in film, and the actor’s range really increased during the run of the show, with new layers of emotional depths explored in every passing season. Adrian Paul was not the only good casting. All of the supporting characters, including the several stunning women, sidekick Stan Kirsch, the yummy Peter Wingfield, earthy and warm Jim Byrnes, and so many more, were excellent. Even the villains of the week were delightful. Rock stars abounded, and while not all of them were top-shelf actors (Roger Daltrey being a notable exception), the music that infuses the show is deeply engaging, from the opening credits by Queen to Jim Byrnes’ soulful guitar solos. Half of each season was filmed in Paris. This brought a real visual richness not usually seen in syndicated television, and the flashback scenes, spanning thousands of years, were almost always done with an excellence that is hard to imagine on their probable budgetary limits. In terms of concept, the producers clearly struggled from time to time to find a way out of the “bad immortal gets head cut off” plotline that could have easily dominated the show. While they clearly mis-stepped here and there, the end product, taken as a whole, is a thoughtful and touching one. Duncan MacLeod is the ultimate hero figure … noble, honorable, enviable perhaps, but deeply lonely. There are a tremendous number of series regulars who don’t quite make it to the end of any given season, much less the series, but by having them enter and leave the life of the Highlander, we see a humanity within the immortal that is tremendously engaging. Despite the sometimes painful 80s fashion, I believe this series has a kind of universality. Worth it to anyone who likes action, romance, drama, and a little bit of magic. And who doesn’t like all of that?

Excellent series! However, surprisingly, you can get it much cheaper at the “Highlander Store”. This is surprising to me because it is not normal that you can get the best pricing from the original sources. It is usually the case that you get better pricing via third party resellers. Regardless of the cost anywhwere, it is well worth every cent! “There Can Be Only One”. Better get yours.

Watch the last segment of the original Heavy Metal called “Tarna” instead. The plot scheme of HM2K is lifted directly from that. They took a tight short story from one film and stretched it out needlessly here.

The details have changed, but it’s still the same story.

The same major plot points exist: “Joe Nobody” encounters weird green object that turns him evil. Newly evil bad guy slaughters docile people without warning. Babe in high heel boots hunts him down for payback. Bouncy cleavage shots ensue.

Don’t get me wrong, I dig the cleavage… but no one actually got down and dirty. Onscreen nudity without sex = BORING.

Several scenes were torn DIRECTLY from the original movie’s “Tarna” segment. Why do angry babes bent on revenge always catch the bad guys drinking at some dive bar?

The one scene that brought home the lack of originality was when our heroine FAKK2 takes a dip in a pool and gets dressed in a leather bikini to do battle near the end. It was a shot-for-shot remake of Tarna taking a dip in a pool, then dressing in a leather bikini to do battle in the original movie. I do not exaggerate, they both put on their Victoria’s Secret battle gear the SAME WAY. That would have been fine if this was a true sequel connected to the previous story.

But this is not the case.

HM2K is boring. The attempts at jokes all fall flat. You can get more bawdy humor from an episode of South Park on TV. The action scenes are clunky. The … shots do nothing to stir the libido. There are many other faults, but the main problem is that someone thought this was a great idea and decided to waste their money to make it.

I have been a reader of HM magazine since I was a boy. I was and still am a great fan of the first film. HM2K is a big disappointment for me. Instead of offering some of today’s best sci-fi writers an opportunity to contribute a compilation of short stories for the new film, the film makers went with a poorly developed feature length tale that is as predictable and boring as a merry-go-round at the county fare. Despite the aid of modern computers the animation lacks in style and detail as compared with the original film. Even the music is poor this time around! The first film was a successful attempt to translate the style of the magazine to the big screen. HM2K is clearly an attempt to provide the publishers wife (Julie Strain) with star billing in her own film. Trust me on this one……THIS MOVIE BITES!!

This was my first exposure to Van Peebles and I wish this dvd were much longer as I found his comments insightful,interesting and slyly amusing. Bring an open mind and you will begin to see and make connections you never considered before.

He’s respectful of the people who made careers as a black actor in Hollywood while still pointing out the broad assumptions underlying the roles and the changes from decade to decade. I checked this film out becuase of Spike Lee’s comment about it on the Bamboozled dvd. Like Spike, MVP doesn’t apologize for not suger coating how he sees things. And his views are fascinating, if difficult.

I consider this a must see dvd for anyone interested in film history, black cinema, or a different look at the Lethal Weapon series. MVP talks about how there was a moment when he saw past the film on the screen and into the broader view of the films taken together as a whole. After viewing this dvd I had quite a bit to think about. I wish I had seen this film before Bamboozled as it is a great prequel to the message of the Spike Lee film.

My hope is that these two together lead to more extensive studies of the topic - perhaps a joint project with MVP, Spike Lee and other interested actors/directors. If you’re even thinking about ordering this dvd - do it. It’s less costly than a large pizza and much more filling.

The sound and picture quality on these disks is amazing. I’m truly blown away by it on my 1080p tv. Also, the aspect ratio of these episodes is different than the broadcast versions. On tv they cut off part of the sides, even though it is presented in widescreen on tv. The blu-ray episodes have an aspect ratio closer to the Films.

I’m really enjoying the extras they go into a lot of detail and explain some really cool things. Also, some of the bad (jar jar and fart jokes). The best part of the special features is getting to see clips from the films in 1080i for the first time. I Cannot wait for that blu-ray boxset! The Jedi Archives special features are really enjoyable too but for the concept art you can’t select things to zoom on which stinks if you have a small tv. Even on my 42″ some things are still too tiny to see as big as I would like.

The box everything comes in is top quality too. It’s kind of like the whole thing is a book you open it up there’s production notes and concept art in a booklet attached to the case. Disk 1 is on the front and the back has Disks 2 and 3 stacked on each other (like many boxsets do these days).

Overall it’s a fantastic set that does exactly what it should. I wish there was a full commentary for the episodes but getting a 7min featurette per 20 minute is a good replacement. Also, i wish there were full behind the scenes features not just ones for specific episodes. But they have all of that on the Clone Wars movie set so it’s understandable. Hopefully the Season Two set includes those kinds of things.

- PS: my first set came with Disk 1 and 2 copies of Disk 2. But Amazon sent me the replacement and i got it within 24 hours so no harm done.

Having just come off the viewing of 10 weeks of the critically acclaimed HBO’s TV show ‘The Wire’, I needed a pick me up, and wowser did I find one. This BBC 6 show series that aired in 2004 has it all and it is an even toss up with me as to which show is best, ‘The Wire’ or ‘State of Play’. In both series the acting is superb. Bill Nighy as the wry, buttoned down, full of himself editor of the Herald hits the mark every time and won the UK’s Best Actor award. Polly Walker known to most of us from HBO’s ‘Rome’ is the politician’s wife and is flawless. David Morrissey, as the politician, John Simm and Kelly Macdonald as the intrepid reporters for the Herald mark this cast as fully realized.

The shotgun murder of a drug-related killing, and the apparent accidental death of Sonia Baker, a researcher for Member of Parliament Stephen Collins seems unrelated. The one difference is the makings of a scandal when the news of Sonia’s death hits the streets. Stephen Collins the Parliament member who employed Sonia is visibly shocked and upset when her death is announced. The editor of the Herald suspects some hanky-panky and sends two of his best investigative reporters out to look the matter over. Cal McCaffrey and Della Smith find that these two deaths are not only related but were linked to the oil industry and the British government. One scandal after another is uncovered and this minor story soon leaps to the largest story of the year.

The story of corruption and mayhem and lies and deceit are all realistic. The fact that the media, government and industry could all be in collusion seems all too true to those of us in the US looking at the war in Iraq and what has been wrought. What we don’t count on is that once we think we have everything figured out, a new twist occurs. Some of this is a little over the top, but the superb acting counters any fallacy.

‘State Of Play’ shines on the media, in this case, the newspaper, the Herald. Financial success is intertwined with the government, and it is not easy to convince the CEO and the board that publishing the story is the right thing to do. Everyone in this series is touched in some manner by the final decisions and actions that take place. The action, the suspense, the writing, the cinematography are all as one to produce one of the best BBC series I have viewed. Helen Mirren and Russell Crowe are at this moment filming a movie version of this series. We have the best here, how could they ever top this series?

Outstanding story, great cast and superb direction! The cast includes some of the best British actors of current day. A great story that, for once, doesn’t talk down to the audience. If you appreciate a good suspense film try this one. Everyone I have shown this to loves it. I can’t imagine how this can be shortened into a feature length movie, at least the film is using the original writer. Here’s to hoping that there will be a second season of this series.

This movie is much more than an outrageous and unique comedy. One reason for its cult following has been consistently missed by the critics: repeated viewings reveal surprising layers of meaning and an intricate web of symbolism.

At the heart of this film is the timeless debate known as “nature vs. nurture”: are we more a product of our genes, or of our environment? How much of an effect does our upbringing have on our likelihood to turn out as either a law-abiding member of society (a society which in this movie is of dubious merit, as represented by Hi’s job and his unctuous boss) or as a criminal deviant from its norms?

The symbolism in this film is rich and evocative–while always contributing to the comedy. Note how often the adult characters cry and carry on like infants. Note the way the escaped convicts are “born” into the outside world. Note the marriage of a convict and a police officer, and the difference in their families visible in the brief wedding shot. Note the juxtaposition of milk poured over cereal with the infant’s feeding bottle, as Evelle observes, “Ya don’t breast feed him, he’ll hate you for it later. That’s why we wound up in prison.” And note the frequent use of phrases such as “that’s natural,” as opposed to “you’re not being true to your nature” or “mother didn’t love me.” As Hi observes, “maybe it’s my upbringing, maybe it’s just that my genes got screwed up, I don’t know.”

The quasi-biblical, poetical and aphorism-laden language the characters use in the-state-adjacent-to-Utah is both touching and funny. Every word of the film is a finely polished gem. Ed’s little plan is “the solution to all our problems, and the answer to all our prayers.” Her infertile womb is a “rocky place where my seed can find no purchase.” And as Hi later writes in a touching letter to his dearest Edwina, “I feel the thunder gathering even now…I cannot tarry…better I should go, send you money, and let you curse my name.” On the other hand, the crotchety Arizona characters also have a remarkable literalness of expression. A packet of balloons does not blow up into funny shapes, not “unless round is funny.” And as the old codger in the bank robbery points out, “If I freeze, I can’t rightly drop, and if I drop, I’m gonna be in motion!”

Even the music in this film is perfectly executed, from the hilarious yodeling and whistling of the main theme to the way the chilling accompaniment of a nightmare is later revealed to be a haunting children’s nursery song, and then mutates into an ethereal melody in the film’s final scenes. The characters, despite their flaws, are all surprisingly sympathetic. And the film is tightly constructed, without a single unnecessary scene or moment. It ends with a bang, not a whimper, its final words resonating with significance and yet leaving one wanting more, like a swift exit after a great punch line.

At the deepest core of this film lies a mystery wrapped in an enigma: who is the once-orphaned “motorcycle demon from hell,” and what is his relation to Herbert I. McDonnough? The answer to this puzzle relates intimately to the “nature vs. nurture” theme. While I think I know the answer, I’ll leave it for you to figure out, based on the clues (”show the tattoo!”) liberally scattered throughout the film. “Okay then!”

I’ve seen Raising Arizona far more times than I can count. It is, in my humble opinion, next to Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove the most original, inventive comedy ever made.

The dialogue is absolutely razor-sharp — plenty of examples are certainly readily available in the reviews preceding this one — and the camera work is wonderful, as well. I’d rank Raising Arizona a VERY close second to Miller’s Crossing in a list of the Coen’s best films. It is admittedly not as visually stylish as Miller’s Crossing (then again, very few films ever made are), and the storyline is not as cohesive as Miller’s Crossing, Fargo, or Barton Fink. However, the film is so full of verbal gems that it definitely ranks as the Coen’s best dialogue writing effort. Cage and Hunter are wonderful, and John Goodman and William Forsythe are absolutely perfect as the Snopes brothers.

Admittedly, the DVD is nothing very special. All you really get is the more durable medium and a widescreen format. Some kind of “The Making of…” mini-documentary, or better yet, a commentary option with two or three of the actors, the director of photography, or ideally the Coens themselves would have been a priceless addition to the DVD.

The Philadelphia Eagles are as successful as this 30 year old, Italian-American from South Philadelphia whose sports career is nothing more than “tough touch” football with the boys in a vacant lot, and season tickets to watch the hometown team get their feathers plucked Sunday after Sunday. But his luck is about to change. The new head coach calls for try-outs for any fan that wants to make the team. Only one of the hundreds is selected. That one is Vince Popale.

His next challenge is overcoming the physical and verbal abuse of teammates who see him only as a publicity stunt. His support is a few friends, a father, and new girlfriend (who is a NY Giant fan). He has nothing but his heart, and an all-out desire to make the team.

As a die-hard Giant fan, I found it hard not to cheer for the Eagles in this movie, because it wasn’t about them. It was about a man’s personal triumph, and his desire to overcome everything that so many said he could never accomplish. This is the kind of story anyone would love.

Mark Wahlenberg turns in a fine performance of Popale. The cast is excellent. The story is uncomplicated, and it resembles the tale of Rocky Balboa, which was released as Popale’s real-life star was on the rise. It shows how a team that resented him deeply came to admire and respect their special teams captain.

In addition to a special feature of making the movie with the real deal (VP), the viewer can see the movie in three versions with narrations in two of them.

Don’t miss. This is a super bowl of football movies.

It’s 1976, and the men in Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg)’s neighborhood are having a tough time. They’re either laid off like him or on strike. They do still have each other, though. They love their backlot football games, meeting at the tavern, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, who have also had a lot of bad luck. A new coach (Greg Kinnear) comes to the Eagles and holds an open try-out. Anyone can come down and try for a place on the team. His pals urge 30-year old Vince to go, and the rest, as they say, is history.

You don’t have to be a big football fan to enjoy this movie. Yes, there is plenty of hard-hitting action, but it’s also about trying your best, sticking together, and having a good heart. The cast is excellent and the script really held my interest. We get to know and care about Vince and his friends, and their gritty neighborhood seemed real. A very muddy football game filmed in slow-motion is an especially good scene. Not only is this a good story, it’s a true story, with a winning combination of action and emotion.

I emphasized the “ADULT-THEMED” idea in my title because one of the best things about seeing a film like EASTERN PROMISES is that it is so adult, so uncompromised. Cronenberg gets to make the movies he wants to, and it doesn’t have to be watered down or dumbed-down to make it sell to a broad audience. We get a brutal, sometimes squirm-inducing look at a underworld we haven’t seen like this before…and there’s no gloss, no pandering to a teen audience, no sappy ending, etc. etc. The ending is SATISFYING…but it isn’t easy or “Hollywood.”

First of all, the script is outstanding. From the creator of another stunning film about London’s “seamy underbelly,” DIRTY PRETTY THINGS…the plot makes sense, the threads all come together and the characters are simply but sharply delineated. Yet at no time do I feel the themes are being spoon-fed. Also, some of the acts that are perpetrated on Viggo Mortensen’s character near the end of the film are acts of amazing betrayal…yet if you haven’t been paying attention, you might miss that. It’s not a super-complex plot…but it doesn’t grab you by the hand and lead you from place to place.

Speaking of Mortensen…this is his best performance ever. Granted, Aragon is crown-jewel, and he handled it well…but those films were events, such spectacle that often what he simply needed to do was wear his costume, ride his horse and look great. In EASTERN PROMISES, he has to make us care about a very nasty piece of work indeed. He’s also very stony-faced…so much of what we learn about him, especially early on, comes from very subtle work. Again, each word of the script is perfectly chosen, and Mortensen digs deep here. He’s not always my favorite actor…I actually wasn’t nuts about him in A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE (A film I otherwise greatly admired)…but he’s perfectly cast here. And of course, he’s amazing to watch in the now infamous nude fight scene. It’s a little bit distracting being aware of male full-frontal nudity flashing around…almost enough to take one out of the scene…but the scene is so well staged that the sheer PAIN of it soon wipes out any feeling of “hey, we get to see ALL of Viggo Mortensen.”

Armin Mueller-Stahl plays the older patriarch of the Russian mafia family, and he’s the best of this type of character I’ve seen in awhile. You know the one…the old gangster who is so sweet and loving to the youngsters in his family, so polite and full of grace and manners. Picture Brando in the wedding scenes of THE GODFATHER or even Paul Newman in early scenes of ROAD TO PERDITION. Stahl is even better…his eyes twinkle with charm. But boy, when the mask drops and we see the real guy…still soft-spoken and considered…he’s stunningly evil. I really enjoyed seeing him again…it seems like it’s been awhile since he was in a film.

Vincent Cassel plays Stahl’s hot-headed son…another gangster cliche…the kid who is supposed to take over the business, but is actually a bit of a moron and troublemaker. But again, the character has surprises up its sleeve. Also, Naomi Watts plays the nurse who brings a motherless baby unwittingly into this underworld…and she is reliably good. Her character doesn’t get to have all the dramatic flourishes…but Watts gives another patented, fully committed, honest performance. I believe she may be our most under-rated actress, even though she has been nominated for awards and starred in many films…I think she’s still undervalued. EASTERN PROMISES won’t win her new fans or an Oscar…but she is still very good.

Notice I didn’t talk much about the plot. Others have done it better, and to be honest, I’d love it if you just went to see the film having little idea of what you were about to experience. It’s a brutal journey…but it is full of unexpected turns…not just of plot but of character. I’ll bet come year end, this will still be one of my favorites of the year! Highly, highly recommended for ADULT audiences!!

EASTERN PROMISES as written by Steven Knight and directed by David Cronenberg is one of the grittiest, insightful, and well-acted films of the year. Maintaining his keen eye for the dark side of life and the people who dwell in its shadows, Cronenberg has once again brought us characters so strongly etched on film that they will be remembered for many years.

The setting is London where lives the enigmatic Russian-born Nikolai Luzhin (Viggo Mortensen in an Oscar caliber performance) who serves as a driver for a cloaked mysterious Russian family, members of the Russian mafia called the Vory V Zakone, a bizarre brotherhood populated with men whose lives of crime are told in tattooed stories on their bodies. The head of the family is the elegant restaurateur Semyon (Armin Mueller-Stahl) whose son Kirill (Vincent Cassel) carries on the crime aspects of the family but shows no role of leadership in his dissipated life style. As the film opens we observe the birth of a little girl to a drug-addled mother Tatiana (Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse): she dies during childbirth having been delivered by a midwife Anna (Naomi Watts) who herself has a history of a stillborn child. Anna finds a diary in Tatiana’s purse, saves it, and takes it to her uncle to translate it form the Russian. Opening the diary opens dark secrets for Semyon and Kirill: Tatiana was apparently one of the many illegal Russian prostitutes imported by the Vory V Zakone crime syndication and was raped by Semyon whose daughter was born as Tatiana died. Anna’s investigation as to the baby’s heritage includes the invaluable help of Nikolai who despite his past has a soft spot for Anna and her plight and it is the manner in which the interplay of Anna, Semyon, Kirill and Nikolai works out that brings the film to its conclusion.

The acting is impeccable with Mortensen, Watts, Cassell, and Mueller-Stahl at peak form. Cameo roles by Sinéad Cusack and Jerzy Skolimowski, among others, are fully fleshed. The accents are believable and the multiple tattoos on Mortensen’s body (seen fully in the much ballyhooed bathhouse scene, more about killing than about voyeurism) match the dark, dank atmosphere well captured by the cinematographer Peter Suschitzky and echoed with the musical score by Howard Shore. This is a tough movie for the squeamish to watch, but the story is superb and the film is Cronenberg at his best. Grady Harp, December 07

My kids and I love the movie. However after buying the DVD it was in Full screen format only. The description said that it was a widescreen format, so lovers of wide screen formatted movies like myself, Beware!

Enjoyed the movie with my kids. However it was advertised as having widescreen format but it only comes in full screen. If you are a widescreen buff as I am this will be a disappointment.

Spongebob has to be the funniest cartoon ever created. Last year when the complete 1st season came out, I got it right away and watched it all the time. Then I waited for the 2nd season to come out and finally it’s here. Although, I was sad to see that this dvd didn’t feature some of my favorite stories like Squilliam Returns, Rock-a-bye Bivalve, No Weenies Allowed, The Krusty Krab Training Video, and Just One Bite. But the episodes on here are funny and season 2 is the best season. Season 3 is good too but I recently saw the worst Spongebob episode ever, I Had An Accident. Anyway here are the episodes on this dvd:

Fans of this program already know how fun and witty it is for both kids and adults. Here’s what we have to look forward to when this second season DVD finally comes out:

1. Something Smells / Bossy Boots: SpongeBob gets bad breath from his sundae made of ketchup and onions. Pearl gives the Krusty Krab–I mean, the Kuddly Krab–a makeover.

2. Your Shoe’s Untied / Squid’s Day Off: SpongeBob forgets how to tie his shoes. Squidward is left in charge of the Krusty Krab and decides to leave early only to keep returning for fear of what SpongeBob might do. In this episode, we see Squidward actually swimming in a bathtub, which is a very funny sight!

3. Big Pink Loser / Bubble Buddy: Patrick wants a trophy and decides to imitate award magnet SpongeBob. SpongeBob makes a new friend that the rest of the town does not appreciate.

4. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III / Squirrel Jokes: SpongeBob and Patrick foolishly unleash the evil ManRay. SpongeBob discovers that the only way to get laughs during his comedy act is to make fun of Sandy (this one is one of my favorites).

5. Christmas Who?: Patchy the Pirate hosts a half hour special where SpongeBob brings Christmas to Bikini Bottom.

6. Dying for Pie / Imitation Krabs: Squidward thinks he’s given SpongeBob a fatal pie, and stays with him during his “last hours.” Plankton masquerades as Mr. Krabs.

7. Wormy / Patty Hype: SpongeBob and Patrick take care of Sandy’s pets and freak out when her worm is eaten by an evil butterfly-looking thing. SpongeBob markets Pretty Patties.

8. Survival of the Idiots / Dumped: Sandy is hibernating, but that doesn’t stop SpongeBob and Patrick from visiting. Gary the Snail finds a new best buddy in Patrick, much to the chagrin of SpongeBob.

9. Grandma’s Kisses / Squidville: SpongeBob is teased for kissing his grandmother. Squidward finds a neighborhood more accommodating to his lifestyle.

10. No Free Rides / I’m Your Biggest Fanatic: Mrs. Puff decides to pass SpongeBob no matter what. SpongeBob hangs out with an expert Jellyfisher.

11. You Wish (”Shanghaied”) / Gary Takes a Bath: SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward get three wishes on the flying Dutchman’s ship. Someone ends up taking a bath…and it isn’t Gary.

12. Pressure / The Smoking Peanut: The gang starts up the old “whose better? land creatures or sea creatures?” debate. Clamu is going through emotional distress.

13. Pre-Hibernation Week / Life of Crime: Sandy has only one week to burn carbs before hibernating-can SpongeBob survive that long? SpongeBob and Patrick become fugitives after stealing a balloon.

14. The Secret Box / Band Geeks: Patrick has a secret box. Squidward starts up a marching band to show up rival Squilliam.

15. Sailor Mouth / Artist Unknown: My all-time favorite! SpongeBob and Patrick learn some new words. The greatest artist in his own mind, Squidward, is bettered by his pupil, SpongeBob.

16. Jellyfish Hunters / Fry Cook Games: SpongeBob uses jellyfish jelly on his krabby patty which starts a new craze and is bad news for the jellyfish. Just in time for the Olympics, well it would be if this DVD would come out sooner! SpongeBob and Patrick compete in the fry cook games.

17. The Bully / Just One Bite: SpongeBob encounters a new classmate who wants to kick his butt. Another favorite of mine: Krabby patty-hating Squidward discovers what he has been missing in life.

18. Sandy, SpongeBob and the Worm / Squid on Strike: An Alaskan Bullworm invades Bikini Bottom. Squid takes on Mr. Krab’s “house of servitude.”

19. Procrastination / I’m With Stupid: SpongeBob procrastinates on writing a paper. SpongeBob pretends to be a moron to make Patrick look smart in front of his parents.

Considering how long it is taking to get this season out on DVD, there should be lots of extras as in the First Season set.
