I was fortunate enough to have been able to find this film in one of its shrimp theatrical showings. I was in panicked silence through the showing as was the rest of the hall even though I was aware of most of this information. During the ending credits it recieved a standing ovation.

This movie shows the truth about the IRS and the Federal Reserve. Every American needs to notice this movie to understand how we are being sold into slavery.

This movie is dazzling in the method it presents the information. If you anyone who is skeptical about the impending takeover and destruction of our republic, this movie can wake up even the most skeptical.

Aaron Russo has generated a masterpiece here.

See this while you aloof can.

Russo has done a gracious introduction to some of the ills that are facing this nation and the world. This documentary is a starting point for information that more people need to know, discuss and piece. He has appropriately singled out the Federal Reserve as public enemy no. 1. (The other side being that we could really employ a true and spiritual re-awakening, but I count Russo and this documentary as being fragment of that.)

A previous reviewer has made comments about the Fed that are quite incorrect and Russo is on the designate. The Fed did not extinguish the “bustle on banks”, the act creating the Federal Depository Insurance Corp did that and is totally separate from the Fed. The fact is more banks failed after the creation of the Fed than at any time previously. What the Fed did was consolidate the money creating power leisurely the largest banks, who fill the majority of the Fed. It also gave those same banks an famous monopoly on creating money through the moral tender law. The supposed or stated purpose of the Fed was to stabilize the value of the dollar which was a erroneous pretext as the dollar has lost 96% of its value since the creation of the Fed. Read “The Truth in Money Book” or “The Creature from Jekyll Island” to understand how the Fed and our banking system operates. Our banking system, through charging people interest on what it creates out of thin air, has a hand in everyone’s pocket and we would be a noteworthy wealthier nation with a different system of creating money.

A few years assist (in 2000) I did a calculation to estimate how grand we were paying to the banks and other institutions for the “privilege” of our money supply through the payment of interest. It came out to $1500 per year per man, woman and child in the US. I also calculated an estimate of how noteworthy it would be if we simply did an accounting system of money creation, based on existing assets, without interest, which is entirely possible and grand, powerful more practical. That came to approximately $150 per person. That means if we had money creation without interest (without usury) everybody in the country on average would have $1350 more money to exhaust every year. What would that do for our economy and standard of living especially when the multiplier achieve is considered? Huh?

The huge majority of people do not understand how our monetary system and the Federal Reserve, that is fractional reserve banking, operate. It is truly the myth of “The Emperor Has No Clothes”. We judge that we go into the bank to borrow other peoples’ money and the bank makes its profit from the differential in the interest it pays to sage holders and the interest it receives from borrowers. This is a fiction. The money deposited in banks is faded to absorb the cash swagger of expect accounts such as checking and savings. It is held as a reserve to meet unusual demands, i.e. withdrawals. The money that is borrowed is created by the bank, it wasn’t there before. The amount of reserves limit the amount of money the bank can do. Banks can loan or make 10 times the amount of money that they have in question deposits. For time deposits such as CDs the multiple is even considerable greater.

So money in our system is created through debt by borrowers. When we go to a bank and borrow, the money is only then created by a ledger entry, out of thin air, to our record. We agree to pay wait on the debt plus interest. That is the cost of the money supply. The immense predicament is that not only is it a very expensive contrivance to perform money, only the money we borrowed is created, not the interest that we have contracted to pay relieve. We live in a system where we never have enough money in total to pay abet all the debts that have been contracted. We are always short of money unless the money supply is continually expanded, i.e. inflation. Whenever the Fed wants to regain a grip on inflation or tiresome the expansion of money, it cuts attend on the money supply by raising interest rates. This engenders even more shortages of money and a number of people are forced into default, foreclosure and bankruptcy because there simply is not enough money in the market region to conceal the debts. This forced default of individuals is inherent in our monetary system. The people who loose are those who are not overly aggressive, greedy or cunning in the market set … in addition to those who fair earn awful business choices. In other words, our monetary system encourages even more greed and cunning in the market space than needs to be there. There are a number of other really dreadful effects of this system but time and set do not allow to train all here. On the whole it really sucks, mountainous time!!! There needs to be a helpful documentary about this. And then obtain people to stare it. We need to be more aware about what is going on, ’cause it’s a lot and we are paying the ticket for not quick-witted and our children will continue to pay the brand!

Russo is absolutely fair in his assessment that we need to regain rid of the Fed as the main money creator. It’s unconstitutional to boot, though no one in congress or the administration care noteworthy about the constitution. After all they are the ones who have been selling us down the river for a long time now.

So it’s not fair the illegality of the income tax, it is even more the illegality and immorality of the fractional reserve banking system which is embodied in the Fed. We would be a LOT better off without it. Yes, it works, but it works at brand where we are slowly being consumed, falling more and more into debt. Already (reflect national debt, social security and medicare, plus a humongous private debt), if you do accrual accounting, almost all of us are bankrupt! The ones who aren’t are the ones who have their money off shore, i.e. international corporations, colossal banks, old-fashioned money, and some forward looking individuals, etc.

This film is a excellent wake up call. I pray that we wake up!!!

THE 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD

By far the most “classic” of the three, this spectacular allotment of cinematic adventure may very well be Ray Harryhausen’s masterpiece. Legendary sailor Sinbad (Kerwin Matthews, in his signature role) is on the verge of marriage to Princess…..uh, I forget (a radiant Kathryn Grant), and uniting their two countries. But not before the outrageous magician Sokurah (Torin Thatcher, in an extremely funny performance) can shrink the princess to a doll’s size in order to derive Sinbad to return him to the Island of Colossa. There, Sinbad battles a giant Rok, a fire-spewing dragon, and (my personal well-liked), the Cyclops…all brilliantly achieved by the greatest FX pioneer of all time, Ray Harryhausen. Oh, and there is the classic duel with the skeleton. Now I constantly hear people say, “Oh, like in ‘Jason & the Argonauts’? “, and it drives me crazy! Though the battle was far more account for and, well, better in that film, this is the unusual, people, the one that started it all! Indeed, this type of fight would appear again, and again, and again in subsequent Harryhausen films, ever improving (which really showed the lawful ingenuity of the man) . “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad” is most likely, THE fantasy-adventure classic of all time, though some people say the same for the fresh “The Thief of Baghdad”. But, I haven’t seen that film, so I couldn’t say. Plus, it doesn’t have special-effects wizard Ray Harryhausen gradual the camera to provide fair creatures just out of a dreamworld! A rousing, witty come by by Bernard Herman, too!

THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Sinbad Collection! Click Here

My popular of all three films, even if it doesn’t really deserve the title “classic” as great as “7th Voyage” did. John Phillip Law replaced Kerwin Matthews in the title role, and proves to be less impressive, but only by a shrimp. And, hey, he actually has an accent! This time ’round, Sinbad discovers a unusual plan disguised as a golden like of sorts, and with it sets off to the magical isle of Lemuria, where tale has it that if you position the map/trasure in the Fountain of Destiny, you will be granted all-powerful, all-knowledgable, and eternal youth. But he’ll have to come the isle before the sad sorceror, Koura (played to perfection by the wrong Tom Baker), who has more than a few tricks up his sleeves to close Sinbad and his crew! This is a powerful different film than the first; the swashbuckling attitude is replaced by a darker, but more mystical atmosphere, which I accept very chilly! The gather by Miklos Rozsa perfectly matches it, too (objective check out the music during the scene with the Oracle; it’s awesome!) . The myth is very inventive, with more twists-n-turns than you would guess. There is lots of suspense, too! And there is also Caroline Munro as the savor interest for all you teenage boys out there! Ray Harryhausen once again provides a massive array of imaginative and expertly constructed creatures, including a flying homunculus (a inspect of koura), and a six-armed statue of the goddess Kali, which is the showcase for a masterfully-choreographed sword fight sequence. As well, there is an spirited battle between a one-eyed centaur and a griffin! A safe fantasy-adventure.

SINBAD & THE Survey OF THE TIGER

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Sinbad Collection! Click Here

By far the least of the three, it’s aloof exquisite, nonetheless, though not for all the same reasons as the first two. First off, the acting is improper, but it is in a poor way; rarely do you feel the need to laugh out loud at its campiness. Second, the place is pleasing lame, and recycles quite a bit from the preceeding voyages. Sinbad is now played by Patrick Wayne, the son of John Wayne, though it really doesn’t present. He has none of his father’s prescense on hide, nor does he gain any acting abilities whatsoever! He is now on a quest to the land of *it’s a really long, utterly forgetable name*, in order to return the Prince Kassim attend to his human gain. You survey, he has been transformed into a baboon (?!) by the snide sorceress Zenobia (Margaret Whiting), but Sinbad must have the prince’s permission to wed the Princess…once again, I forget her name, but it’s a really hot Jane Seymour. They are joined by the wize man Melanthius (Patrick Troughton, I deem) and his shapely daughter (Taryn Power) . Like I said, the tale is frail, so it’s up to the craftsmanship of Ray Harryhausen to build the day, and he does it very effectively! The giant walrus isn’t menacing in the least, but the fight between the Troglodyte and Saber-toothed Tiger is suspenseful and involving. Indeed, the creatures (such as Kassim the Baboon) create more emotion than the actors themselves! All except for the Minaton…I mean, he’s supposed to be this unstoppable colossus, true? Well, all he does in the entire narrate is row a friggin’ boat! That we are deprived of seeing this brute giant in action is all but devastating. The music is overall mediocre, but the backgrounds are glowing and mystical. In fact, the production crew shot the film in places that had never been conventional in any film before it, and it shows! (P.S. Why the hell is it called “The Gaze of the Tiger”? It has nothing to do with any tiger, nor any notice…at least, not enough to establish in the title.)

Rating: 3.5/5

CONCLUSION: This a stout trilogy to add to your Ray Harryhausen collection. All three films are digitally remastered, and they’re all magnificent (especially “The Golden Voyage”) . They all feature the edifying documentary “The Harryhausen Chronicles”, too. On a itsy-bitsy side brand, the DVD covers and grand production notes inside are awesome!

Ray Harryhausen’s primal importance in the realm of science fiction and special effects goes without saying. These are safe adventure films, truly entertainment for the whole family.

As a musician, however, I must point out that one of these films, The 7th Voyagoe of Sinbad, contains what is without examine the single most famous section of music every written for a film- and that is, of course, Bernard Herrmann’s accept.

Herrmann, who is by now well known to most people as one of the prime movers in the realm of adventure and science fiction musical scores, wrote one of his best for this film.

Back in 1958, as an eleven year aged, I remember seeing this film at the conventional Roxy Theater in NYC. I was entranced by it, but most of all by the music. It had such an impact on me that it decided the direction my life would grasp, that is, as a composer. If music could have such a terrific and remarkable carry out on people, then I wanted to bewitch my fledgling efforts “all the diagram.” This lead me to NYCs High School of Music and Art and, eventually, to a Bachelor’s, a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in composition from Juilliard. I have never regretted that decision, nor forgot the impact of that moment.

I’ve been able to section this with my gain children. There are few films so relatively pure in their fantasy. Like, but listen, too.

This was the last movie that I ever watched with my father before he passed away. So this movie has alot of sentimental meaning but it’s a tall movie for children. I saved mine for my daughter to peer. Batty is so silly and the singing in this movie is stout. Though Hexas venerable to dread me when I was younger I loved this movie and I’m in my 20s and I tranquil know every word to it. For parents out there looking for a satisfactory movie with a superb message, this is the movie you’re looking for!

I’ve remembered and loved this movie for years. It’s got tremendous a message for both kids and adults. Robin William’s character is hilarious and unforgettable. Definetly contemplate. The music numbers and the final scene originate it all the worthwhile.

Mortal men might be ashamed at their pudginess, laziness, and gastronomical obsession, but not Jim Gaffigan. Instead, Gaffigan uses these characteristics as punchlines that have surely earned him hundreds of dollars as he travels the country to voice the masses how worthy of a pig he is, and how they elegant noteworthy are too. Original off his widely successful Beyond the Pale DVD, released in 2006, Jim Gaffigan has decided to once again grace us with his shockingly pale presence in his newest DVD, King Baby.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Jim Gaffigan: King Baby! Click Here

Filmed during a stint in Austin, Texas, King Baby is perhaps best conventional as a pedagogical tool. In it we learn the wonders of meat, the absurdities of camping, and the sheer genius of the escalator and snooze bar. Of course, this is not all as there are many other topics discussed to both gladden the heart and dispute the mind.

Most known for his “Hot Pockets” bit, Gaffigan spends most of his time on stage talking about food in ways both memorable and ethereal. After spending a runt over an hour at the feet of this master of burlesque, the student will no doubt desire to adorn all food with bacon (or at least the most magical get of bacon: the bits of bacon), only achieving perfection if done while lounging on the couch and watching television at the same time.

In addition to the main feature, this disc also contains many insightful extras. These include Comedy Central commercials for both the Beyond the Pale and King Baby specials, interviews with the baron of jest himself, PSAs for “Our Massive Planet,” and three “Pale Force” captivating shorts.

If anyone can beget jokes about bacon, being sluggish, playing bowling and hot pockets for long period of time and effect people laugh, Jim Gaffigan can definitely originate it happen!

With the success of Gaffigan’s Comedy Central DVD “Beyond the Pale”, Gaffigan returns with “King Baby”. From the starting menu of the DVD featuring two young kids pigging out on BBQ ribs, you know that you’re going to be in for a fun time.

Filmed in Austin which capped off his sold-out 2008 stand-up tour, Gaffigan is on fire as his routine consists of going out bowling, being indolent, going camping, his bedroom, ketchup, waffle house and of course, being known for his comedy routine about bacon and noteworthy, grand more.

Featuring 30 minutes of extra footage not witness in the “Comedy Central” special, Gaffigan’s comedy at best is comedy that doesn’t have to fetch explicit. He literally talks about everyday things that people reflect about and makes it amusing. From getting a disease by putting your finger in the holes of a bowling ball to losing a remote while your laying down and of course, America’s esteem for bacon. These jokes are silly because people have experienced them and immediately know what he’s talking about.

His comedic delivery is unruffled and constant and at times even poking fun at himself and using a high or an effeminate inform when criticizing his beget jokes. So, overall, “King Baby” was an toothsome live performance by Gaffigan but despite the 70-minute runtime, you realize how worthy special features are packed on this DVD. And there are a lot!

VIDEO & AUDIO:

“King Baby” is featured in widescreen. Record quality is fine with beneficial angles from the front, side and towards the audience and above the audience. Friendly editing and overall, easy to examine. No dizzying camera angle switching.

As for the audio, audio is presented in English Stereo and English 5.1 Surround. Audio is sure and you hear both Gaffigan and the audience quite clearly.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

As savory as the 70-minute comedy performance for Gaffigan, share of the enjoyment of this DVD is watching the many hilarious special features included. This DVD is packed with special features! “King Baby” comes with the following Special Features:

* Featurette: Pale Force - As seen on the “Conan O’Brien” comes “Pale Force”. Featuring three episodes of arresting shorts that are about four minutes long. “Pale Force” features the shirtless superhero duo Jim Gaffigan and Conan O’Brien who are known for their pale white skin and shooting lasers from their nipples. In “Sidekick”, Conan is complaining about becoming Jim’s sidekick and him doing all the work but Jim getting all the credit. In “Land of the Robots”, Jim is fixing a robot which Conan accidentally turns on and thus being sent to an state where only robots reside. In the third short titled “Pale Christmas”, Conan celebrates Christmas Day and the series becomes a hilarious musical about being pale.

* Featurette: Our Massive Planet - A total of four featurettes about a itsy-bitsy to three minutes long. “Our Massive Planet” features interviews with a Professor Turgeon who talks about the wild but has never been outside of the US and his knowledge is based on what he learned from the Internet. “Credentials” are about a guy being interviewed about the wild but has no fair experience to talk about the wild. “Primates 2 is about primates being stuck indoor and using MySpace and enjoying the popcorn snacks poppycock. “Zebra” features an interview with Prof. Turgeon who has footage of the wild but what is notion of his travels in Africa, the footage is from the zoo. In “Dogs”, Prof. Turgeon talks about how to come a dog.

* Featurette: XM/Sirius Interview - A 26-minute featurette from “Unmasked - Live from Comix” on XM/Sirus. Gaffigan is introduced about his comedy career and answering questions from the audience.

* Featurette: The Sexy Tour — Friday Night Stand Up - Features nine hilarious “Friday Night Stand Up” commercial segments with Gaffigan promoting a tour because he feels he is very sexy but yet everyone around him thinks he’s unsexy.

* Featurette: The Beyond the Pale Tour - Friday Night Stand Up - Features eleven hilarious “Friday Night Stand Up” commercial segments promoting Gaffigan’s “The Beyond the Pale Tour”. Each segment is about a 30-seconds to a microscopic long.

JUDGMENT CALL:

“KING BABY” is another luscious comedy performance from Jim Gaffigan. Compared to many comedians featured on Comedy Central DVD’s that would win into the sex and topple a bit of profanity in their routine, Gaffigan’s comedy is not risque or profane. It’s straight up comedy about subjects that everyday people often wonder about and it’s impartial the device it’s delivered is how hilarious it can be.

I can type an example of his jokes on this review and realize, by typing it…it won’t be comical. It’s all about Gaffigan’s delivery of the jokes, one after the other and he can go on five minutes about bacon and people will peaceful be laughing. His demeanor is smooth and when he says he’s a sluggish guy or talks about obvious foods, you kind of beget he’s not BS’ing and that his comedy is section of the arrangement he really perceives things.

That is the upside to his comedic performance, the downside is that some jokes may go a bit too long for some people. Some may wonder how long can Gaffigan joke about bacon and the fact that he’s talking about bacon or ketchup, some may gather his comedy a bit too sterling. No hardcore sex jokes, no making fun of people in the audience, it’s straightforward comedy about things in life that are daily occurrences but Gaffigan knows how to catch those things and build it laughable.

And as mentioned, 70-minutes of concert performance is stout but Gaffigan fans will truly be overjoyed to know that there are a top-notch number of special features included on the DVD. If there was anything that I could of hoped for is that like a few other Comedy Central DVD’s, some approach with a CD of the precise live performance. That would have been cold to listen to some Gaffigan on a long commute and I hope they think it for his next comedy DVD release.

All in all, Gaffigan’s style of comedy may not be for everyone. For those who are wanting comedy with profanity and jokes about ethnicities or sex, this is not one of those comedy DVD’s. But if you are wanting to study a comedian who can build jokes out of topics such as bowling, laziness, ketchup, garbage bags, pillows, deodorant, bacon and more… Gaffigan knows how to dispute. Definitely check “King Baby” out!

TV host Jeff Corwin is a vast bundle of boyish enthusiasm, skipping through rainforests and desert landscapes in search of rare and original animals. It’s like having Joey and Ross from “Friends” fused into a single character, and then location out on safari with a film crew in tow: Corwin is physical and rambunctious, but also knowledgeable and able to rattle off scientific facts about poisonous critters that he’s objective dug out of the underbrush — obviously working from memory, since the viper or skedaddle frog or whatever isn’t waiting around for him to read anything off of a cue card.

The exhibit has an enthralling improvisational air about it, with has its plusses and minuses. On the plus side, the indicate is inviting and lickety-split draws you in; Corwin has a elated, magnetic presence and his enthusiasm for nature comes through clearly. He also consistently works in eco-friendly messages and talks about having respect for nature, about leaving wild animals alone (especially hazardous ones) and about the need to protect habitat, etc. On the down side, you pick up a nagging feeling that there’s a lot of information that is being left out, and that the mini-lectures Corwin delivers while, say, holding the deadliest viper in Central America, might not be as thorough as it might otherwise be. Corwin is sensitive to how considerable each animal is willing to establish up with, and once he drops the animal support into the wild, the encounter (and the lecture) is over with. Also, his hands-on near seems resplendent invasive — even though he often is taking section in scientific studies (tagging animals, etc.) and takes grand grief to elaborate that what he is doing has been officially sanctioned, the overall finish may be to succor audience members to mess about with wild animals themselves, which may have poor consequences.

On balance, though, the demonstrate is informative and fun: one of the most humorous aspects is how totally into snakes Corwin is. So, if you like to peruse rare and deadly and splendid serpents, this is definitely the expose for you! There are plenty of mammals and birds, too, but Corwin does appreciate the creepy crawlies. Overall this is a fun explain, definitely worth checking out. (Joe Sixpack, ReadThatAgain kid’s reviews)

Average customer review:

True Romance is available for streaming or downloading.

Click Here to Stream or Download True Romance

True Romance is one of those grand films that was rather unfairly and bizarrely largely ignored on it’s fresh theatrical release but it’s really hard to know why. It’s not because of the script/screenplay, that was written by the tall Quentin Tarantino, with all the trademark flourishes you’d ask, with witty dialogue and broad set-pieces that leave you quoting them for weeks. It’s not because it’s got a bad cast or unpleasant acting. Apart from the leads, Christian Slater and the fantastic Patricia Arquette (in undoubtedly their greatest mask performances), this movie has a cast list like a whose who of huge cover actors; Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken. It also boasts a gargantuan cameo performance from Brad Pitt and a valid supporting performance from (the then not so well-known) James Gandolfino. Val Kilmer and Samuel L. Jackson even turn up too in blink and you’ll miss it performances.

This is a substantial movie, a chilly movie, a amusing movie and an action movie. Directed by Tony Scott, one of the best (if not the best) action movie directors around, Upright Romance is the myth of Alabama (Arquette) and Clarence (Slater) young newlywed lovers on the hurry with a stolen suitcase bulky of $5m worth of the mafia’s coke, which they intend to sell. But as the ragged saying goes, the path to legal fancy never runs aloof and a battle of wits ensues between Clarence, the police and the mob leading to a classic finale in this action packed film. As a whole, this movie works beautifully but on DVD it’s even better because you can access all your favourite classic scenes that unmistakeably bare Tarantino’s hallmark again and again. Such as the opening scene where the heterosexual Clarence (Slater) states that he’d sleep with Elvis if he were level-headed alive, or the showdown between Clarence and dreadlocked gangster (Oldman) . Or the showdown between the mob boss (Walken) and Clarence’s Dad (Hopper) . Classic scenes indeed, particularly the one with Walken and Hopper. It’s hard to fill this movie was made support in 1993 because it’s aloof as unique, unruffled as icy and serene looks as delicious as it was wait on then. I objective savor this movie and if you haven’t seen it yet I hope you will too.

I really wish Brad Pitt would judge reprising his role as the stoner Floyd someday cause he absolutely stole the show-he’s hysterical. Some of the classic Tarantino lines of all time, several adlibs, and phenomenal scenes that are diagram outside the edge of reality, but it works. A better ensemble cast than anything else you’re liable to catch. Was this Gandolfini’s first “sensitive hitman” role? Patricia Arquette is yummy, Hopper is in rare make, Walken is as menacing as he is irregular, Oldman makes a stout pimp, we catch out about Samuel L’s sexual preferences, and Slater manages to turn in a credible understated but high energy performance. A monument to the Nintendo generation I state but a tremendous movie worth watching over and over again. Oh yeah, if you’re speedily to sob “ripoff” when you glance a road movie that resembles Accurate Romance, NBK, Freeway, Cherish and a 45, etc then capture up a copy of Badlands with Martin Sheen. Tarantino makes better movies than his predecessors but he’s borrowed an understanding or two along the map. 5 Snorts.

Now, the unique “Unrated” Director’s Prick. well, they really can’t call it unrated since not one single change was made from the novel release. The sound and report are far obedient to the fresh DVD however, and there are a few extras rabid fans will delight in. Especially the commentary by Michael Rappaport and Brad Pitt. The ‘deleted’ scenes aren’t worth talking about. Sunless actually. And the alternate ending…..thank god they didn’t go with that one. If you don’t already maintain the DVD then this one is for you. The Downhearted of Suzumiya Haruhi was the surprise hit anime of the Spring 2006 season (on Japanese TV) and its popularity is not without merit.

The series ranges from wacky screwball hijinks to scientific discussion on parallel universes that have an dependable basis in trusty science. The series is often called an “otaku fest” but that’s misleading in that while it has fun with its homages (Notice for the homage to Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney in Remote Island Syndrome Piece 2), it also contains a stout fledged plotline with a compelling mystery at it center because in TMoSH, all roads lead to one Haruhi Suzumiya, a incandescent, hyperkenetic 15 year musty high school student, who is searching for aliens, ESPers, time travelers and the like to assuage the boredom and heart-broken that mundane life can bring.

But while Haruhi is definitive center, the narrative is told through the eyes of Haruhi’s pragmatic, cool eyed, funny voiced classmate, Kyon. Kyon (not his genuine name and one of the many mysteries of the series) and his deadpan narration provides the perfect counterweight to Haruhi’s frenetic energy.

In the recent TV broadcast, the series was not shown in episode order and it was an engrossing recede that kept viewers on their toes (and it is also available by Bandai under the Diminutive Edition disks), but in this volume, I’m rather glad to have the episodes in order because it contains my well-liked two episodes (outside of Episode 00 aka The Adventures of Asahina Mikuru) called “Remote Island Syndrome” Portion 1 and 2 are played one after the other. (In the unique broadcast, fragment 1 was played and then the 2nd piece was played almost three weeks later.)

To me, this two parter represents the lengths that those around Haruhi will go to preserve her “alive to” in the world and preserve her boredom at bay. As the events unfold almost like one of those kill mystery dinner theaters, the viewer is never quite obvious of what is loyal, what is not and who is affecting the events. There are also small hints in seemingly unrelated scenes of what may or may not happen in the future.

The Japanese grunt cast is extraordinary and their chemistry is all too apparent, but as distinguished as I savor the Japanese cast (especially Aya Hirano as Haruhi and Tomokazu Sugita as Kyon), I very considerable savor the English cast’s work. Crispin Freeman gets the job done as Kyon and there are even times when I reflect he surpasses the work of Sugita in that he gives Kyon, who can sometimes be frustratingly sarcastic, more warmth and therefore more likability without sacrificing Kyon’s overt need for detachment. Stephanie Sheh perfectly matches her Japanese counterpart, Yuko Goto, as the adorable Mikuru. Michelle Ruff’s Yuki isn’t quite as qualified as Minori Chihara by itself, but when matched against her castmates, her Yuki fits in quite well. I had to warm up to Johnny Yong Bosch’s Itsuki, because I enjoyed Daisuke Ono’s intention of portraying charming dullness, but by this third disc, I’m sold on Bosch’s performance. But the one I am most surprised by is Wendee Lee’s Haruhi. This is the same woman who did the bad Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop! When I first heard she would be Haruhi, I groaned. I admire her Faye, but Haruhi? No plot! But Lee is more than up to the sharp task of performing the hasty Haruhi. Hirano’s Haruhi is hard to top as it is a signature role for Hirano, but Lee comes so finish to matching Hirano’s breakthrough performance that Lee’s work deserves its maintain special praise.

All in all, I give a lot of credit to the production and cast (both Japanese and English), Kyoto Animation, and Bandai for delivering on a tall product with a job well done.

Now that I’ve got the first 3 dvds, I’m looking forward to the 4th and final DVD with colossal anticipation.

I have mixed feelings about this exhibit, but ultimately, it’s spacious. My 3 year dilapidated daughter loves it. She asks to spy it every day, which is where my mixed feelings approach in. I’m glowing sick of it. But if you’re looking for a reveal your dinky girl will want to leer, this will work. It has a very short scary piece, but my daughter, who is skiddish and makes me hasty forward through scary parts of OTHER movies, is NOT troubled during this one. I like the message too, it’s basically about helping someone in need. And it’s not too long, about 40 minutes.

My 5, soon to be 6, year feeble daughter loves all the Holly Hobbie DVDs but this one is her hands down popular. She adores the song where the Hey Girls try to scoot away summer boredom by pretending they are French Fashion Models. These dvds do tend to have kind of fun, catchy songs and this one is no exception. I like the Holly Hobbie dvds because they are basically wholesome without being too sappy. They narrate suitable values like helping others, respecting elderly people, and dealing appropriately with conflict, be it between siblings or friends. They may have a couple tense moments but really couldn’t be called scary. They are a helpful device to balance out they abundance of fairy record princess stuff that overwhelms the girly dvd market with something a itsy-bitsy closer to valid life. We care for princesses, too, don’t pick up me evil, but it’s nice to have something that doesn’t involve any magic spells or generically delicate princes for a change.

As a teenager a couple of years ago, this point to opened a door to my imagination, wanting “Pokémon” to be genuine so I could move the world on foot with my friends or family. It’s a very engrossing narrative with easy names to remember, it’s all about believing in yourself, following your dreams and caring for others. I first got into Pokémon with the fad was dying off, because I did not want to be caught up in all that madness. My sister who is one year younger than me was into Pokémon, when it first came out in America and she eventually got me into Japanese Animation like this one and other basic shows like “Sailor Moon” and the “Tenchi Muyo” series. This Pokémon boxest is only in English, there are no subtitles on any of the disc, however the exhibit is Closed Captioned by using your television remote, also there are no special features and the banned episodes that didn’t appear on American T.V., are not on here too. Besides having no special features or the banned episodes, it’s level-headed a enormous boxset of the first half of season one.

P.S. - The “Pokérap” is hear, it’s fair not include as a special feature.

This is the first box place that has been released for Season One of Pokemon. This collector’s region is indeed only the 4kids American dub with no second Japanese version. It contains three discs; each in a nice hard case that skedaddle into one cardboard sleeve. The artwork on the box and each individual case is nicely done. The state contains the first 26 episodes of season one. Price though, that this is not the entire first season as the American version contains 78 episodes (80 in Japan) . This means, according to my calculations, that two more box sets would need to be released (each containing 26 more episodes) to complete the season.

Also, be aware that the episode, “Beauty and the Beach,” is not in its rightful slot and is not share of this dwelling. Even though it was first banned during season one, it was later played as “the lost episode of Pokemon” during the Orange Islands season (though heavily edited) . It is not definite why the episode was not reinserted serve into this season, as that would get logical sense.

The menus are decent but nothing spectacular. When it comes to scenes selection, each episode is divided into only two parts. The first, being before the commercial smash, and the second, coming after the shatter. The video quality looks shapely beneficial. After comparing the color of episode one from this place to the version originally released on DVD with objective three episodes, I found that the colors were slightly brighter or incandescent in this version than the other.

Overall, this is the best edition of season one that there is to date. It’s worth the pick if you do not mind the American version. Hopefully, they will release the rest of season one very shortly. I rate this product 4 out of 5 stars because it does not acquire the episode “Beauty and the Beach.”

My 3 year used loves Piglet’s Large Movie and the character Roo, so I belief this would become an instant hit with him. However, neither one of us could sit through it. He was very upset that Rabbit was so aroused for the majority of the movie and is too young to understand why. Being a Disney film, of course it has a gay ending but it took too long to procure to the themes of friendship and care for that these Pooh movies are all about. This movie objective wasn’t fun.

Sometimes a narrator’s got to do what a narrator’s got to do-and in this happity-hoppity novel Pooh cartoon, that means messing with Rabbit’s elegant, organized mind. In homage to Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, the narrator shows Rabbit what the future will be like for him if he continues to snort limited Roo and the other critters of the Hundred Acre Wood their Easter fun.

On Roo’s second Easter, the whole gang is expecting an appetizing, egg-hunting bash like they had last year, with Rabbit serving as their Easter Bunny host. What they don’t remember from last year is how disappointed and frazzled Veteran Long Ears got when the gang wouldn’t follow his Easter instructions with precision. The gang ended up having a ample time, but Rabbit secretly swore that he’d never play Easter Bunny again. And he meant it-until he ruins this year’s Easter celebration AND the narrator convinces him that his friends will become so distraught over his denial of Easter that they all proceed away, leaving Rabbit bereft, draped in cobwebs and alone in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Sinister narrators aside, it’s a improbable lesson for children on how friendship has to be a two-way street, and how laughter can trump tidiness on any given day, especially holidays!

For those of you parents who have been swindled by Pooh movies in the past, rest assured, this one is actually a original feature, not a clumsy cut-and-paste job of primitive television cartoons. Not only that, the songs are the hummy, appealing tunes we interrogate and crave from a Pooh cartoon, not the overprocessed glock that some original Disney straight-to-video productions are trying to pass off as “musical classics.”

The final word from a Pooh Purist: This disk is worth it!
